How to read this ranking

EqualAtlas divides the displayed population by its own geometry-derived area. Using one area method makes comparisons reproducible and connects the table directly to the map.

Limitations

A national average does not show where people live inside a country. Large uninhabited regions can lower the average even when cities are extremely dense.

23 of the 238 mapped profiles currently have no imported value for this indicator. EqualAtlas leaves those profiles out of the ranking rather than treating missing data as zero.
