Our purpose
Many people meet the world through a rectangular Mercator map. That map is useful, but its area distortion shapes intuition. EqualAtlas begins with Equal Earth and then makes the underlying data, years and methods visible.
What we publish
The atlas combines an interactive map, 238 country and territory profiles, curated comparisons, downloadable data and original projection guides. Every published statistic identifies its source and reference year.
Independence and advertising
EqualAtlas is operated by UAB “IT prekyba”. Clearly labelled advertising may fund the service, but advertisers do not select datasets, rankings, boundaries or editorial conclusions.
Corrections
Maps and international data contain ambiguity. Our correction policy explains what evidence to include and how published changes are handled. Reports can be sent to hello@equalatlas.com.
