Our purpose
Many people meet the world through a rectangular Mercator map. That map is useful, but its area distortion shapes intuition. EqualAtlas begins with Equal Earth and then makes the underlying data, years and methods visible.
What we are building
The first release combines an interactive map, country profiles, curated comparisons and original projection guides. Future releases will add carefully sourced time-series layers, stronger comparison tools and classroom-friendly exports.
Corrections
Maps and international data contain ambiguity. Our correction policy explains what evidence to include and how published changes will be handled. A direct contact channel is being finalized.
