Life expectancy at birth summarizes the mortality rates observed across all ages into the average number of years a newborn would live if those rates continued.

Limitations

It is a period estimate, not a prediction for a particular child. National averages can hide differences by sex, income, region and other conditions.

23 of the 238 mapped profiles currently have no imported value for this indicator. EqualAtlas leaves those profiles out of the ranking rather than treating missing data as zero.
