Africa has a mapped area of 29,820,053 km², compared with 2,154,759 km² for Greenland. That makes Africa about 13.84× larger. Because both values come from the same map geometry and spherical calculation, the ratio is internally consistent.
Why the familiar world map reverses the impression
Greenland sits close to the North Pole, where Mercator scale expands dramatically. Africa crosses the equator, where that projection is least enlarged. A Mercator map can therefore make their visible footprints look surprisingly similar even though this consistent mapped Africa definition is almost fourteen times larger.
